Cricket in Olympics

  Good news for cricket lovers has been circulating on Social media. It has been decided by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to include cricket in the upcoming Olympic to be held in Los Angeles USA in 2028. IOC meeting was held in Mumbai India where the committee gives its approval to include cricket in the Olympic Games 2028. It has been proposed that a six team tournament in a t20 format will be played in the Olympics. Cricket has only been part of the Olympics once and that too almost a century ago at the 1900 Olympics. Apart from cricket, approval for inclusion of four more games was given in the IOC meeting. The games are: Flag football, Lacrosse, Squash and baseball-softball.

Mandatory Changes in Pakistan Team for #PakVsAus Match

       After crushing defeat against India in their third match of the #WorldCup2023 , Pakistan cricket team is facing severe criticism. The collapse of Pakistani middle order is the main cause of concern for everyone. Pakistan was 151-2 but later on got 191 all out. The departure of Babar Azam was the turning point of the match. Whole middle order crumbled after the wicket of Babar Azam.  Moreover, the bowling attack of Pakistan was also not impressive. Shaheen and Hasan Ali managed to get three wickets but their bowling also lacked the charm. Haris Rauf was expensive once again while the spinners also could not perform well. AGHA vs SAUD: DILEMMA OF PLAYING XI

  In ODIs, Pakistan has struggled in batting especially in their middle order line up. After the retirement of the greats like Inzamam ul Haq and Muhammad Yusuf middle order of Pakistan is in disarray. Although Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed have shown consistency in past few tournaments to stabilize the middle order bating of Pakistan but with intermittent collapse of Pakistani bating in important matches another middle order batsman is mandatory for Pakistan. Salman Ali Agha has shown promising talent with continuous run scoring along with good hitting sense and has become a regular member of playing XI of Pakistan team. In addition to batting, he can also bowl which is a plus point as it gives depth to Pakistani bowling. Salman has played 18 ODIs and has scored 436 runs with an average of almost 40 and strike rate of 96. He has also scored three fifties in ODIs.
